To introduce myself: My name is Philipp Roither and I am a student of the technical college for mechanical engineering in Vöcklabruck. In August 2007 I had the chance to make a traineeship at Danfoss in Denmark. I worked at Danfoss in Sønderborg for four weeks.

Jobs and departments at

At Danfoss I was involved in the development of new frequency converters. They gave me a laptop with the 3D drawing program ProEngineer. In those four weeks of my internship I learned a lot about frequency converter and their cooling systems. I also had the chance to take part in testing some of the products. During my stay in Denmark I was accommodated at a boarding school which was only one kilometre away from the coast. All the sights, like the windmill, the harbour or the castle of Sønderborg could be reached easily by bike. Other activities were numerous company events and a few trips to other cities.
